Minnesota, a team who struggled in the first few games of the season has found their stride with their team and has looked very good in the recent 6 games. The Anthony Edwards and Karl Anthony Towns duo has pulled this team from 4-9 to now 9-10. The Timberwolves are coming fresh off a bad loss against the Memphis Grizzlies 133-115 where everyone on their team was struggling to find their shot. The red hot Timberwolves are looking to get back into their groove.
Philly, a banged up team all season fighting, clawing their way back up the standings look to get started on a winning streak. Their main guy, Joel Embiid is searching for his return to the court and tonight may be his night. We don't know what kind of shape he's in or if he's feeling extended symptoms of COVID. Hopefully he is feeling better and he comes ready to play against Karl-Anthony Towns. Those two always have an entertaining matchup against each other.
Players to watch:
Philadelphia 76ers: Joel Embiid - While not knowing if he is 100% for tonight, all Sixers fans in this world are excited to see what he brings tonight and it will feel great to have their All-NBA center back in the lineup.
Minnesota Timberwolves: Anthony Edwards - The second year player looks to go up against a fellow second year player, Tyrese Maxey. Edwards, seems to be a big part of the scoring chunk for the Timberwolves scoring 22.3 PPG which is second behind Karl-Anthony Towns.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Philadelphia 76ers are favored by 7 points.
Tune in tonight at 6 PM EST on NBCSN for an entertaining matchup!
