Curry's 23 points leads 76ers past Pistons
The Sixers continued their win streak Thursday night with a 109-98 against Detroit. Philadelphia, 7-2 on the season and now have sole possession of first place in the Eastern Conference.
Seth Curry was his usual self tonight.
23 points, four made 3-pointers, perfect from the line. Seth is making a very strong case to be an all-star this season. At this moment, I am willing to say Seth is the most underrated player in the league. He is just our little secret we have here in Philly. Soon enough he will be recognized on a national stage, but what he is doing this season has been phenomenal. Just a reminder, we traded Josh Richardson for him.
Birthday boy Tyrese showed why he is the PG1.
There were plenty of doubts coming into this season if Tyrese could be a starting Point Guard on a contending team. So far, Tyrese is passing that test with flying colors. The man who is finally old enough to drink, had 20 points on just 12 shot attempts. Along with that he notched 5 assists and 4 rebounds.
Shake Milton has been the spark.
The Shake Milton Sixers are 5-0 this season. Milton, who started for Korkmaz tonight, had a wonderful shooting night. 16 points, 7-13 from the field, pretty impressive stuff.
We are finding ways to win even when Embiid isn't at his best.
Similar to last night's game against Chicago, we won even when Embiid was not at his MVP level. There has been many concerns about how the change of the ball from Spalding to Wilson has effected Embiid's shot. Tonight he shot just 40%, which is very uncharacteristic.
The Pistons are not a good basketball team.
To set the record straight, the Pistons stink. This is a team that is clearly in the middle of a rebuild and now 1-7, and dead last in the conference. The Sixers have taken advantage of beating the Pistons twice early in the season, lets see if we can use this as momentum going forward.
