Eagles 2021 Training Camp Day 12 Notes
The Eagles have had a very scattered practice schedule as of late, because of NFL rules and their midweek preseason game. They had an off day the day before and after Game 1 against the Steelers, causing the training camp to be on hault. But they are back today!
Let's get to the Notes!

Nick Sirianni still would not call the left tackle competition before practice today.
Sirianni went out of his way to praise Jordan Howard and Kenny Gainwell for their efforts in pass protection.
Sirianni told reporters that DeVonta Smith is now day-to-day after previously being week-to-week with a knee injury. Smith was not participating in individual drills but he was sprinting on a side field with a helmet and was stretching with his teammates during the stretching period before practice.
The Eagles practiced without pads today in advance of their open practices with the Patriots on Monday and Tuesday.
The Eagles activated Le'Raven Clark from the PUP list then waived Adrian Killins and Caleb Wilson before practice.
Before we get to the injury report, Kerryon Johnson is being evaulated for a knee injury and has no timetable from the team yet. Not ideal for a guy who is fighting for a roster spot.
Grayland Arnold was limited with a hamstring injury, Gernard Avery was limited with a groin injury, Le'Raven Clark was limited while ramping up, Jason Croom was limited with a knee injury, Matt Leo was limited while ramping up, Michael Walker was limited with a foot injury(not sure why he is on here since he was waived), Isaac Seumalo was limited with a hamstring injury, Jason Huntley is day-to-day with a ribs injury, Craig James is day-to-day with a foot injury, Ryan Kerrigan is day-to-day with a thumb injury, DeVonta Smith is day-to-day with a knee injury, K'Von Wallace is upgraded to day-to-day with a groin injury, Andre Dillard is week-to-week with a knee injury, John Hightower is week-to-week with a groin injury, JaCoby Stevens is week-to-week with a hamstring injury, Davion Taylor is week-to-week with a calf injury and Casey Tucker is week-to-week.
Quez Watkins was getting first team reps and immediately caught a ball from Jalen Hurts over the middle.
Hurts completed a pass to JJ Arcega-Whiteside over the middle for 20 yards.
Zach Ertz made an impressive diving catch with Darius Slay in coverage on a great ball from Hurts in 7on7s.
Alex Singleton had a pass breakup in 7on7s on a pass from Joe Flacco that was intended for Jack Stoll.
Hurts connected with Jalen Reagor several times today.
Josh Sweat destroyed Jordan Mailata on a rush during 11on11s and got the "sack". He was pumped up afterwards.
Elijah Riley, who got an interception in the preseason game on Wednesday, broke up a fade pass in the end zone that was intended for Richard Rodgers from Flacco.
Reagor beat Slay deep but Hurts overthrew him.
Patrick Johnson had a "sack" on Nick Mullens.
Javon Hargrave keeps impressing in camp. After a rough year last season, I think some fans are forgetting how good Hargrave can be if he stays healthy.
Today was the first time in camp that the projected starting offensive line was on the field for some 11on11 reps: Mailata, Seumalo, Jason Kelce, Brandon Brooks and Lane Johnson.
Player of the Day: Zach Ertz
No player in particular made multiple good plays today, but Ertz made that great diving touchdown catch with Slay covering. He's had as good a camp as you'd expect, he is not holding back or anything because there is a chance he isnt on this team come final cuts. Ertz seems to be more likely to be on the roster as the days pass, but we'll see if he stays over the next two weeks.
Quick Note- This will most likely be my last day of doing training camp notes due to scheduling conflicts over the next two weeks. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who supported and enjoyed these type of articles. I got some of my most viewed articles ever, and for that I'm grateful. LJ will fill in and do as great a job on these notes. You'll still see me writing Eagles articles now and throughout the season!
