We made it to Day 2!
After a shorter practice yesterday, the Eagles were back on the field. Maybe some will be shaking the rust off?
Let's get to it.
First, the injury report. Jalen Reagor was limited(lower body tightness), Greg Ward was limited(non-COVID Illness), Travis Fulgham is day-to-day(lower body), Shakial Taylor is day-to-day(lower body), Quez Watkins is day-to-day(non-COVID Illness), Nate Meadors is week-to-week(hamstring) and Isaac Seumalo is week-to-week(hamstring)
Everyone who is on the PUP List from yesterday obviously did not practice again today.
Jordan Mailata was the starting LT today.
Marcus Epps got the first team reps next to Anthony Harris today. K'Von Wallace had them yesterday.
Brandon Brooks was injured and had to go in the medical tent. He walked into the Novacare Complex on his own. Unsure when we will hear an update. UPDATE: Brandon Brooks left with a hamstring injury. The Eagles said it was for "precautionary reasons".
Adrian Killins is fast. He took a short pass from Flacco and exploded through a gap.
Sirianni stuck to his true idea of competition today, as John Hightower, Marcus Epps, TJ Edwards and Shaun Bradley all got first team reps.
Jalen Hurts went 3/4 on his first series in 11on11s. He had an ugly miss to a wide open Zach Ertz.
During position drills, DeVonta Smith wandered off and joined the QBs. Got good work with all 3 Quarterbacks.
The best play of the day was DeVonta Smith burning Steven Nelson on a go route deep down the left sideline. Great throw by Jalen Hurts and hopefully a sign of things to come.
Derek Barnett had multiple good reps against Andre Dillard. Barnett beat him with a swim move and then Barnett got held by Dillard on a rep.
Tyree Jackson, the converted Quarterback to Tight End, caught the ball well again today.
Luke Juriga and Josh Sweat impressed in 1on1s.
Jalen Hurts made a very impressive throw on the run to JJ Arcega-Whiteside that made for a massive gain. Arcega-Whiteside had a bad drop later on in 11on11s.
Boston Scott has been taking reps as RB2 so far.
Overall, Hurts had a much better day today then yesterday. Looked great in the second-half of practice.
Jason Huntley had a huge run(flag on the play) and Hurts ran over from the other end of the field to congratulate him. Huntley is very fast.
Definitely a good day for the Defensive Line.
Nick Mullens threw a laser between two defenders to DeVonta Smith in 7on7 Red Zone. He's been pretty impressive so far.
