Eagles 2021 Training Camp Day 7 Notes

It's been 7 days already?? Wow. Anyway, the Eagles took the field again for practice today, wearing pads.

Let's get to it.

  1. Before practice, the Eagles activated S Andrew Adams from the Reserve/COVID-19 list and waived/injured DB Nate Meadors. Alex Singleton is still on the COVID list but was out there at practice for the first time, without pads.

  2. Today was another veterans off day, which meant Fletcher Cox, Zach Ertz, Brandon Graham, Lane Johnson, Jason Kelce and Darius Slay all did not practice.

  3. Ryan Kerrigan was limited with a thumb injury, Brandon Brooks is day-to-day with a hamstring, Jason Croom is day-to-day with a knee injury, Michael Walker is day-to-day with a foot injury, Isaac Seumalo is week-to-week with a hamstring injury, DeVonta Smith is week-to-week with a knee sprain and Davion Taylor is now week-to-week with a calf injury(he was previously day-to-day). Nate Meadors is obviously not listed anymore since he has been waived.

  4. Andre Dillard was the starting LT today, even though his left hand was completely wrapped up after ending practice on the sideline yesterday. He and Jordan Mailata have been rotating as the starter everyday.

  5. Zech McPhearson got the first team reps at CB with Darius Slay having a rest day. Michael Jacquet was previously the backup, but it looks like McPhearson has taken it over after his big day yesterday.

  6. Nick Sirianni tore into Jalen Reagor following a second team rep.

  7. Andrew Adams had an impressive tackle for loss on a run play in 11on11s.

  8. Jalen Hurts went 3/5 in the 7on7s in the Red Zone: TD to Dallas Goedert, Miles Sanders drop, TD to Goedert, Quez Watkins catch to the 1 yard line and Eric Wilson PBU intended for Goedert.

  9. JaCoby Stevens picked off Hurts in 11on11s over the middle.

  10. Hurts threw to John Hightower down the sideline for a 30 yard gain. Hightower made the leaping catch over McPhearson.

  11. We didn't get any real updates on Mailata vs. Dillard today, but Mailata is clearly winning the competition so far.
