Phillies make a pit stop in Ohio before heading home.

The Philadelphia Phillies (36-39) will make a one-game stop in Ohio to take on the Reds. This game is a makeup game from June 2nd.

The Phillies have been just been downright bad this past week. To me, it is incredible that your pitchers can strike out ten guys in a row and lose, then give run support to Matt Moore of all people.

Rhys asked us to report on the good stuff so here is some of that.....

Nothing, nothing has been positive to watch about this team.

The Phillies need to win this game to have some momentum going into the Miami series, which will be a crucial series for the Phillies to win.

The Phillies will have Spencer Howard on the mound and he has fallen off the face of the earth. This was a guy who was supposed to be a stud in our rotation and just has not met expectations. Howard has a 0-2 record with a 5.59 earned run average (ERA) and has struck out 26 hitters on the season. He needs to have a good start here to possibly give himself another shot at a start.

The Phillies will face Wade Miley, who has been the ace the Reds needed this year. Miley carries a 6-4 record with a 2.85 earned run average (ERA) and has 62 strikeouts on the season. Miley is a dominant pitcher that the Phillies need to attack early and get themselves a lead.

The Reds team is loaded with players that can rake so Howard has to be careful with his pitch locations.

The Phillies need to win this game badly in any way shape or form to have a shot at going over .500 when they play the Marlins.

Bryce Harper is out of the lineup today with a leg injury. He is day to day with that injury. Didi should be on track to come back soon as well. He has been having some great starts down in Leigh Valley. Finally, Jean Segura is making a push to come earlier than expected. He has been doing some intense work to get back ahead of schedule.
