Phillies, Orioles series preview
The Philadelphia Phillies will host the Baltimore Orioles in a three-game series that is huge for the Phillies. They are two games back of first place in the National League East Division. The Phillies are also in the wild-card race as well. They are three and a half games behind St. Louis for the final wild-card spot.
The Phillies however think they have an easy schedule ahead of them but they really need to play good team baseball and not overlook the Orioles.
The Phillies will have Ranger Saurez on the mound today 9/20 and he needs to be on his game tonight against a sneaky good Orioles lineup. The Phillies will face John Means a solid lefty who can get batters out quickly and efficiently. The Phillies and Orioles will have openers go for them on Tuesday and Wheeler will go on Wednesday.
Bryce Harper is on an absolute tear and is really making his claim to the National League MVP. However, he needs help from his supporting cast. This team needs to step up and play baseball and support their main man.
As I said earlier this team needs to focus on beating the Orioles and getting that lead. They cannot overlook this team. The Orioles have a carefree attitude and if you get lazy they will beat you.
Finally, for the Phillies the bullpen needs to be a big factor in these last coming series, their play will be a huge factor if this team will make the playoffs. Also, Rhys Hoskins might be back for the playoffs if the Phillies make it. That would be a big bat that is needed in this lineup.
