Red Hot Phillies Make a Jump in ESPN's Latest Power Ranking

This Week: 11

Last Week: 16

The Philadelphia Phillies have come out of the gates strong to start the season, sweeping the Atlanta Braves (7th in ESPN's latest power rankings) and taking the first series vs the New York Mets (6th in ESPN's latest power ranking) two games to one.

Led by efficient hitting from Rhys Hoskins (.417), J.T. Realmuto (.333), and Didi Gregorius (.304) along with excellent bullpen pitching, one can only expect the Phils to continue on this hot streak and maintain their spot atop the National League.

This week, the Phillies travel to Atlanta for another three-game series with the Braves before heading up to New York for a four-game faceoff with the Mets. Considering that they have already proven capable of beating these two teams, it is not unreasonable to expect the Phillies to make a push into the top ten of next week's power rankings.
