Sixers cruise past the Hawks

The Philadelphia 76ers looked to get a little bit of revenge tonight against the Atlanta Hawks. Both teams came into the game with the same record at 4-2. The game started off pretty slow as there was a total of just six baskets made in the first seven minutes in the first quarter

Joel; Embiid would kick start the rally in the first quarter as he would hit a three to expand the sixers lead...

That would be followed up with some incredible defensive work from the sixers as well. To close out quarter number one both Tyrese Maxey and Georges Niang slams of off great defensive efforts by Matisse Thybulle. The sixers would take a 28-15 at the end of the first quarter.

Thybulle would continue his great defensive work as he had a snatch block early into the second quarter to get things going for the sixers defensively and that would to a fancy finish by Shake Milton...

Matisse would have another great block in the second quarter as he would send in into the stands. He blocked Cam Reddish...

Matisse was a defensive machine tonight and was a big reason for the Sixers win tonight. Seth Curry would continue being hot from beyond the arc in the second quarter. Curry is shooting the three-ball at an impressive 64%. The sixers would cruise in the second quarter taking a 60-46 lead at halftime.

The Sixers would continue to stay hot in the third quarter as Curry would promptly time another three from the corner as the Sixers would continue to roll against Hawks.

Curry would finish off the game with 15 points going 5-9 from the field and shooting 2-4 from three. The Sixers continued to play great defense and would close the third quarter with an 89-69 lead.

With the Sixers having a big lead going into the fourth quarter it was obvious that fans were getting nervous because of what happened in the playoffs last year. Well not to fear as the sixers played great basketball to close out the game. Matisse Thybulle again played fantastic defense to steal the ball and slam it down the other end...

Tisse had a fantastic night all around as he would finish with 11 points, three rebounds, four steals, and three blocks. Another outstanding defensive effort from Tisse. The Sixers would send in the third unit guys late in the game and they didn't look back as they would finish off the Hawks by a final score of 122-94. Yes, Sixers fans the Sixers closed out the Hawks.

Tobias Harris led all Sixers in scoring with a 22 point double-double. He has 11 rebounds on the game. Joel Embiid had a good game, tallying 19 points with five rebounds and one block.
