The Indiana Pacers (6-8) hand the Philadelphia 76ers (8-6) their 6th loss of the season 118-113, as the Sixers extend their losing streak to 4 in a row.
Tobias Harris was the player of the night for the 76ers scoring 32 points on 45% shooting.
The story of the night was about the Pacers and their will to win. They shot 57% collectively as a team. Justin Holiday was very big off the bench leading all Pacers scorers with 27 points.
Down the stretch of the game, Tyrese Maxey brought Indiana’s lead down to 5 points as the Pacers went over four and a half minutes without scoring a basket. Former Sixer, TJ McConnell scored multiple baskets to put the game away for the Pacers.
Danny Green seems to be getting back to his old self scoring 14 points while draining 2 threes.
The bench scoring between the two teams seemed to be a huge deciding factor for this game as the Pacers bench combined for 48 points as the Sixers bench only combined for 21.
The Sixers continue to struggle without their full strength lineup, but Tyrese Maxey continues to shine as one of our leading scorers this season, and is taking full advantage of it. Maxey shot 10-15 and finished with 24 points. Maxey’s red hot streak in the past few games have gotten people talking, and he has put the league on notice that he is here to stay as this teams starting point guard.
This team is still slowly getting to full strength but it will still be a while before we are there.
The Sixers are going on a two day break, but tune in on Tuesday night at 10:00 PM EST, on ESPN vs Utah Jazz.
